How to make strawberry jam with maple syrup

Strawberry maple syrup jam recipe ingredients

  • 5-6 cups (2.2 lb/1.4 kg) strawberries

  • 3 cups of maple syrup

  • 1-2 teaspoons vanilla powder

  • 1 teaspoon citric acid

  • 1 cup of water

Follow the recipe, and you will find out how you make strawberry jam from scratch:

  1. Rinse the strawberries under cold water before cooking. Rinse the berries well to remove the remaining sand and dust.

  2. Place the strawberries into the kitchen pot and pour the maple syrup. Close the lid and set the pot full of strawberries aside for 60-80 minutes.

  3. Place the pot with the strawberries and maple syrup on the stove and add vanilla powder, citric acid and water. 

  4. Then bring the strawberries to an active boil, reduce the heat and cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes without covering. Remove the foam from the strawberry jam while cooking using a dipper or long-handled spoon.

  5. Don’t forget to prepare the jars by sterilizing them in the oven or in the boiling water.

  6. Ladle the strawberry jam into the sterile jars. Then seal and cool the jars. Transfer the jars with the strawberry jam into the cold place.
