Strawberry Jam with Orange Zest

Strawberry Jam Ingredients
- 30-35 oz sweet strawberries
- 3-4 teaspoons minced orange zest
- 6-7 oz pectin
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons cane sugar
- 0.3 cup of water
- Rinse the strawberries under the water to remove dust.
- Place the strawberries into a big kitchen pot and top the berries with the white sugar. Cook the berries on low heat for 30 minutes, the sugar should dissolve.
- Remove the fragrant foam from the strawberry jam and spoon it into the small kitchen bowl.
- Mash the strawberries in a pot using a potato masher.
- Add the remaining sugar (cane sugar) and minced orange zest and pour the water to cook on medium heat for 20-30 minutes.
- Combine the pectin with some water and mix well until the pectin is melted.
- In case you are using an alternative thickener, such as gelatin or any other, follow the manufacturer's recommendations on the packaging.
- Pour the melted pectin into the strawberries.
