Strawberry Jam with Grapefruit

5-6 cups strawberries
1 medium grapefruit
2 teaspoons grapefruit zest
3 cups white sugar

Wash the strawberries and prepare all the kitchen tools and pots to cook the homemade strawberry jam.
Peel and cut the grapefruit into cubes.
Transfer the strawberries and grapefruit cubes into the pot and top with the white sugar. Close the lid and leave the pot with the strawberries and grapefruit for at least a few hours.
Pour the water into the strawberries and grapefruit. Place the pot with the strawberries and grapefruit on the stove and cook them on medium heat for about 40-50 minutes without covering. Remember to remove the foam from the strawberry jam using a dipper or long-handled spoon. Keep stirring the strawberry and grapefruit jam with the sugar to prevent it from burning and rising and pour some more water if needed.
