Strawberry Jam with Tangerines and Tangerine Zest
Strawberries are very popular among jam lovers, but these sweet berries can be used for jams with tangerines and tangerine zest as well. Follow our strawberry jam recipe with tangerine zest and find out how to cook sweet and delicious strawberry jam.

Strawberry Jam Ingredients:
40-45 oz sweet strawberries
20-25 oz tangerines
3-4 teaspoons minced tangerine zest
6-7 oz pectin
1 cup white sugar
0.5 cup of water
Rinse the strawberries under the cold tap water to remove the dust. Peel the tangerines.
Combine the strawberries and tangerines in a pot and top the fruits with the white sugar. Cook the fruits on low heat for 30-40 minutes, the sugar should dissolve.
Remove the fragrant foam from the strawberry and tangerine jam and spoon it into the bowl.
Mash the strawberries and tangerines in a pot using a potato masher.
Add the minced tangerine zest and pour the water to cook on medium heat for 20 minutes.
Combine the pectin with some water and mix well until the pectin is melted.
In case you are using an alternative thickener, such as gelatin or any other, follow the manufacturer's recommendations on the packaging.
Pour the melted pectin into the strawberries and tangerines.
Cook the strawberry jam for 20 minutes. We cook our strawberry jam to make it thicker. Next remove the hot strawberry jam from the burner.
To save the strawberry jam for winter we should keep it in jars, so ladle the still-hot strawberry jam into prepared and sterilized jars and seal them.
The strawberry jam can be served as a dessert or used as a filling for various pastries and cookies.
